How to Signup for School Text Message Alerts.

     The school district currently uses an automated service to contact parents by phone in the event of school closing for severe weather.  The district is expanding this communication system to include text messaging.  Parents who desire to receive these messages on school closings by text message are asked to visit the AlertNow SMS text message Opt-In website at https://www.alertnowsms.com and entering the designated pin of “StJohn”.  This will allow parents to enter the cell phone numbers they wish to be contacted on for text messages.  By opting in parents are agreeing to the terms and conditions your cellular service provider may require for such messages.  You further acknowledge that you are 100% responsible for any charges incurred by you from your cellular provider for receiving any emergency sms messages sent by the school district.  You may need to contact your cell phone service provider to determine if there are additional charges with these sms messages.  Please contact district office if you have questions about opting in for this service.
